GOOD TO KNOW
Questions, answered honestly
How do I use NiteGuard?
How do I use NiteGuard?
Put a clean finger or straw into your drink and place one drop on each test pad. Don’t dip the whole sticker into the glass. Check the pads after 10-30 seconds. A clear colour change means a positive result.
What does it test for?
What does it test for?
NiteGuard screens for GHB and ketamine, plus some related amine-based compounds. It doesn’t detect extra alcohol, most other substances, or every form of benzodiazepine.
Can it tell if someone added extra alcohol?
Can it tell if someone added extra alcohol?
No. Extra spirits are the most common way drinks get spiked, and no test like this can detect them. Keeping your drink in sight and noticing how you feel are your best protection there.
What does a negative result mean?
What does a negative result mean?
It means the substances we screen for weren’t found in the drop you tested. It doesn’t mean the drink is safe, so always stay alert and trust how you feel.
Are there drinks it doesn’t work well with?
Are there drinks it doesn’t work well with?
Yes. Milk-based drinks can cause a false positive for GHB. Very acidic drinks can hide GHB and cause a false negative. Red wine and dark berry drinks can stain the pads and affect the result.
What should I do if my test is positive?
What should I do if my test is positive?
Stop drinking right away. Tell a friend you trust and the bar staff, keep the glass if you can, and get medical help if you feel unwell.
Is NiteGuard a medical or forensic test?
Is NiteGuard a medical or forensic test?
No. It’s a consumer screening tool and can’t prove whether a drink was spiked or not. If you think you’ve been spiked, get medical help and report it so proper testing can be done.
What’s your return policy?

Unopened packs can be returned within 30 days for a full refund. For hygiene and safety reasons, we can’t accept returns of opened packs.

This is a screening indicator, not a guarantee. It reacts to a limited number of substances and cannot detect extra alcohol, which is the most common way drinks are spiked. A negative result does not mean a drink is safe. Trust your instincts first: if something feels wrong about your drink or how you feel, leave it, tell someone you trust and get help.
